Christopher Walken began his career before he was two years old, modeling for a baby calendar! He's come a long way since then, and his repertoire spans television, theater, film (major motion picture, independent, and straight-to-video release), voice-overs, music videos, and even computer games. Each of the links on this page takes you to another facet of Chris's life work. |

Visit the
Filmography page for a full list
of Chris Walken's film credits
and learn
more about some of
the characters he
has played. He's played some very memorable characters - a tortured Vietnam soldier who loses his mind, a crippled teacher who can see the future, a James Bond villain (with VERY blond hair), a headless horseman, a ruthless crime boss (oh wait, he's done that one a few times!), and Gabriel - the Angel of Death...
Chris has been painting for some time, and
works on what he calls "cheery" pictures.
He hasn't had many gallery showings because
he feels self-conscious about it, but you can click the thumbnails below to get an idea
of
the
abstract work he creates. |
Bad Girl (1993) - Chris's first foray into music video came in 1993 when Madonna asked him to appear in her video for "Bad Girl." The video can be found on the DVD: Madonna - Video Collection 1993-1999 Weapon of Choice (2001) In 2001, Chris appeared in the highly-acclaimed "Weapon of Choice" by Fat Boy Slim. Chris portrayed a businessman who suddenly tap dances through an empty hotel lobby. The video went on to sweep the 2002 MTV Music Awards. "Weapon of Choice" and more music videos directed by Spike Jonze and other cutting edge directors are now available on DVD.
Chris Walken, Cat Expert? Well, as a pet owner for many years (I prefer to call them animal companions, myself), Chris has a lot to say about cats and their distinct personalities. He wrote the forward to the KISS Guide to Cat Care, shown below.
True Crime, Streets of LA (2003) Privateer II: The Darkening (1996)
With such recognizable delivery, it is only natural that Chris has been asked to lend his voice to a variety of projects. Engine Trouble (2002) Chris's reading of this classic Edgar Allen Poe work is found on the CD "Closed on Account of Rabies," available at Amazon.com. Defenders of Dynatron City (1992)
Christopher Walken has been
nominated for awards large and
small...and of course, he won quite
a few of them! |
